To be clear, THIS is how nights of the future should be lit
This is bat friendly street lighting, which not only looks sick as fuck but allows bats to pass through without disturbance, as they cannot see red.
orange and especially white lights deter bats and prevent them from reaching feeding grounds at nighttime. Please if you can, write to your local council and encourage red street lights!!!!
This would also hugely benefit nesting sea turtles in coastal areas! I imagine bats are similar to turtles in that they can see red light, just not as well as other wavelengths.

An allegory of our scientific aspirations to explore Jupiter’s moons.
Last week the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) spacecraft was successfully launched on its way to study Jupiter’s moons from orbit, which hold intriguing possibilities for life beyond Earth. Another spacecraft, the Europa Clipper is planned for launch in October 2024.
“The nature of life on earth and the quest for life elsewhere are the two sides of the same question: the search for who we are.”

This series is my pride and joy. Would anyone be interested in a little book of these fairies plus the sketches of the fairies that never came to be? There’s a handful.
I’ve already made calendars of them and have prints so IDK if that’s too much weapon fairy stuff haha
